Update To .1146 On My W7-sp1

Options

Update through the program did not work. In fact not only did it not work but there was no Event notification that an update was required. I found out about the update by reading this forum. I tried a repair sevearal times but BDIS did not update. To get the update to BDIS I had to uninstall two programs and remove .1106 before I got the updated version .1146 installed. I then had to reinstall the two program that were unstalled and reconfigure BDIS

After all that the RAM usage is no different than it was with .1106. Still about 220MB.

My overall experience with BDIS which I have used for several months and BD W8 Security which I have used for 16 months is that BD W8 Security is a better product than the New BDIS. Simpler to use, update and appears to provide just as good security.

Whether BDIS works better on W8.X than on W7 I can't say but on W7 updates are a real pain in the you know what. That has been my experience.

Cheers

What about when you do a manual update? Chance are, you may have update notifications and auto update just disabled?

Nope, always been set to auto-update!!

Anyway it now says v .1191. The date of my OP was 16th May 2014. On 22nd May 2014 Christian posted that there was an update .1191. That update as I recall required a lot less intervention on my part.

Depending on what is updated in the BDIS program the update may not be too well liked by Malwarebytes 2.X Premium. One of those computer mysteries that may remained unsolved.

Anyway, all is good for now and thanks for your comment. Have a nice day, peace.
