It would not be a good idea to install Comodo firewall alongside Bitdefender Total imho....BD Total has it's own firewall and you can't do a selective install/custom install for BD. All you can do is to turn services/items "off" in the gui but it's service will still be running. If you by chance get to install Comodo firewall alongside BD Total you'd better be prepared for some slowdowns as the 2 firewalls may clash.

I have successfully installed Comodo firewall ver7 with BD AV 2014 plus but the first time I tried it it would not gel well and I would get freezes. You'd be better of using BD's firewall if you fancy using BD. If you wanna use Comodo firewall then you'd be either good with just BD AV Plus 2014 or the freeware version of BD AV.

    Just my two cents...

Have not used BD Total here. Have only tried out BD AV 2014 Plus and BD IS 2014 so my experiences with what I tried might vary from yours which depends also on your system specs.

I seem to feel you like more granularity with a firewall thus selecting Comodo(it does give you more control especially the HIPS) but it may not work out with BD Total. I have good experiences with BD AV 2014 Plus on my second spin because I have managed to save the Comodo config file from my first trial(BD AV 2014 Plus + Comodo ver7) and imported it. One thing also worth noting on my test, I used COMODO Firewall 7.0.315459.4132 and not the latest COMODO Firewall 7.0.317799.4142 which I had difficulty installing with BD AV Plus. I also had success installing Comodo when I installed BD first and then installed Comodo firewall after. After reboot imported the config file and reboot again. After reboot exclusions where placed for both(BD and Comodo) important processess on both settings to minimize clashing.

We have some threads with Comodo firewall installed but ti was based on the boot speed time delay and the blackscreen tthat we all experienced.
