Installation Problems On Windows 8.1 Update X64

x64

I can't install Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition on Windows 8.1 Update 64 bit edition.

Installation fails with message "There was a problem while downloading one of the files. What do you want to do?".

The screenshot attached.

Has anyone encountered this?

I don't use Windows 8.1 but have you tried changing the install directory?

It does install on Windows 8.1 Update 64 bit edition. Initially I thought 8.1 Update might be the reason.

In fact the problem was specific to my OS setup.

x64 - I am having the same problem. Have tried Uninstall from BD and re-Install (run as Administrator) but still get errors.

How did you get it to install??
