Ip Address I Have Never Seen Before
I currently have a wireless network set up for 3 PCs and a Wii U.
I was looking at my BitDefender Firewall settings earlier today, and I noticed under "Adapter Rules" an IP address I have never seen before. It started with 169.254, I am not sure where it came from, it is gone now.
I believe it showed up after I did a hard reset to default settings for my wireless gateway modem, could it be connected to that?

A link-local address. That range is used from 169.254.1.0 - 169.254.254.255

So it's nothing to worry about then?

No, I would imagine it is just your router setting itself up.

It was just strange to see an IP I have never seen before show up under my Local Area connections. Had to make sure.
Thanks for the help.0
