Bitdefender Free Blocking Adobe Flash Content

I have Bitdefender Free (v 1.0.21.1099) and until now I have been very satisfied with the product.. A few days ago, it started blocking Adobe Flash content from a few websites that I frequently visit, specifically us7.forgeofempires.com.

When I turn off BF, my sites seem to render properly, but this is clearly not a *solution*.

Is there any way to whitelist particular sites so BF won't block their content? If not, I hate to say it, but I'm going to have to jettison BF and go with something else.

Please advise.

THANK YOU!

  • Surely turning the Virus Shield off is not an acceptable solution for your problem. But I do not know of any way to whitelist anything except of allowing a quarantined item. As far as I know it is up to Bitdefender's staff to make any exceptional rules.

I do not understand why Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition would change its behavior towards a website except for changes in the site or a bad definition in an update. I visited the website you mentioned and found no problem, however I do not think I tried any Flash content except for using the player when viewing the trailer.

Please submit any false positive or false negative to Bitdefender here.

You can always try to repair the installation from Windows Control Panel Programs and Features in case something is corrupt.

    Good luck!

Thank you for that URL, I submitted the site to BitDefender support and hopefully they can address this. It appears one of their most recent updates is now somehow blocking the Flash game content, you have to be logged into the game itself to see the issue.

    Thanks again for the help!
