This was an issue that I had with my 2013 version of Bitdefender, and have recently updated to Bitdefender 2014 to see that the issue still remains, even though I was informed that updating would remove the issue entirely. That being said, the issue is still present.
I have tried multiple times to switch the "Auto Update" tab to on, but each time, I am met with a prompt asking for a password, as seen in the attached image. I am not sure why this is, as I have never set a password, on this new version OR on the prior version I had, which as I mentioned also did the same thing.
