Bitdefender Prevented Javascript From Running

the javascript at the site below cannot be executed:


http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/eecs20/week8/scale.html


there is a message saying "Application blocked. click for details. your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running".


i used to be able to run the javascripts on this site before i installed bitdefender. these javascripts are trusted applications.


i understand that the bitdefender admin team would be the one to unblock this site.


please help unblock this site.

    i just found out that the problem was not due to bitdefender, but due to the new version of Java, starting with Java 7 Update 51, as stated in the web site below:


    https://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml


    javascripts written with the older Java version would not be allowed to run.


    follow the instructions in the above web page to add secure sites to the Java Control panel. after that, known secured javascripts will work.


    the problem is solved.

    That is correct. I think that's the new security protocol of Java recently. That will only apply to https sites I believe. I also helps if you lower the security bar to the lowest but not recommended.
