Recover Deleted Outlook Files
On 14/7/14 10.41pm I run the bitdefender . It quarantined a few files among which are the outlook.bak and outlook.pst. I went on to delete the quarantined files without checking what i am deleting.
Can I recover the two files ?
My bitdefender version is 1.0.21.1099
My OS is windows 7

You need to find and run the Inbox Repair Tool. It's called scanpst.exe and it's location depends on the version of Outlook you are using. For Outlook 2007 it's in Program Files\Microsoft Offcie\Office12. Post back if you can't find it as I can point you to a tool that can.0 -
Recounting what i did :I run the scanpst.exe on a certain archive.pst, whose size is 593MB( The other folders are all less than 20MB so they could not possibly be my old .pst folders),in the Outlook folder.A minor repair was performed but my old folders/subfolders were not recovered.
This at least provesone thing : that once i deleted files quarantined by Bitdefender AV Free Edition, the deleted file is not moved to the Outlook folder.
