Can't Install Or Uninstall

When I tried to install Bitdefender, it popped up a box and says "another version of Bitdefender was found on your system. In order to continue the installation process, you must first remove this version. Do you want to continue? If you click no, you will not be able to install the new version of Bitedefender". After I clicked "Yes". It popped out another window and says "the exception unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occurred in the application at location 0xdac8633c. Click on Ok to terminate the program". I restarted the computer many times. Unfortunately it keeps showing the same problem.

Run the Bitdefender uninstall tool to clear away any remnants of previous installations and then try the install again.

Hi Rohugh. Thank you for your tip. It worked but now there is another new problem. When I click on "installl", it pops out a window and says Bitdefender cannot automatically uninstall Kingsoft Safeguard. So I have to manually uninstall Kingsoft Safeguard. I went to control panel and couldn't find a trace of Kingsoft Safeguard. I searched in my computer as well, still no sign. Is there any chance that you know how to "uninstall" Kingsoft Safeguard? Is that possible it is hidden somewhere in my computer?

I see that BD does not have that listed in their uninstall tools, however, I found this on the Web and may be of help in uninstalling.

i am also getting the same message as the person stated above.

i had tried to install the program u had told but i could not find the king soft software in the list of programs.

is it possible because my computer is infected by virus...

pls help , waiting for ur answer..
