False Positive / File Permissions Issue

When trying to extract a DLL in a zip into the folder I needed it to go to, BitDefender decided it was a virus (which it is not), and quarantined it somewhere in my temp files. It also did something very strange to the file permissions. When I tried to restore the DLL, nothing happened. And now, if I try to move the DLL manually to where it needs to go, Windows says I don't have permission to do that, despite the fact that I am on an administrator account. Disabling virus shield doesn't help. Still can't move the file.

What do I need to do in order to be able to move the file where I need it?

SOme Windows DLL files are owned by System account instead of Administrator account. That is their default way of handling files for security purposes. Just right click on that folder, properties and edit the file permissions.

I'm not an invalid. My user is the owner of the DLL, and both the source and destination folders. I've double, triple, quadruple checked the file permissions. There's nothing in there that should be preventing me from moving the DLL anywhere.

I've managed to fix it though.

Uninstalling Bitdefender did the trick.
