Bitdefender Disabled My Internet Unless I Turned Off Firewall

Hi I can't connect to internet if I turn on my firewall.

Here are the settings in my firewall:

Settings

-Block Internet Connection Sharing - on

-Block ports scan in network - on

-Monitor Wi-Fi connections - off

Adapters:

Wifi Realtek Network Type = Home/Office Stealth Mode = Remote Generic = Off

Hi Phoebe,

Are there other firewall applications installed on the same PC? Please uninstall them and test the result.

Also, do you connect to the internet through a router? Does it come with an integrated firewall? is it turned OFF or ON? If you are not sure post back the model of your router (if you could pinpoint the page of this model on the manufacturer website it would be great).

I just installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 two days ago. I had same happening to me, open Firefox and no internet connection. I had to shut off firewall and restart to get to my homepage or anywhere. This may not apply to your situation.

I had installed a add-on from Electronic Freedom Foundation (forgot the name, it is deleted now), but what it did is prevent websites from tracking you. It worked well but Bitdefender didn't like it at all. I turned it off and my problems all went away. Hope this helps you. :rolleyes:
