Does Internet Security Check My Email For Virus?

I use Firefox browser and gmail.


I was wondering if Bitdefender Internet Security 2014 checks my email for viruses? Preferably before I open them. Do I have to do anything to make it scan my emails?

    No it can't scan for incoming message infections in GMail via a web browser. Email scanning only works over POP which is used by Outlook or Thunderbird on a PC.


    Having said that you are not unprotected. If you download a file then that will of course be scanned with normal realtime protection antivirus included in BDAV and BDIS.
