Bsod Issues
Now known, in Windows 8, affectionately as Frown of Frustration.
Has been occurring over past several weeks. I've had 8.1 up and running for about 2 months now. Been putting on a multitude of new programs and devices, so it's very difficult to establish what the conflicts are. However, using WinDbg, as well as witnessing several crashes first hand, I'm able to see that most/all are with "bdfndisf6.sys". I've uninstalled/reinstalled Bitdefender with no resolution. If I uninstall and leave it off, all is well.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one out there who has encountered this. Is there a work around/solution/fix that I might employ?

Hi. Can you also make sure that you have the latest version installed? If not, please try to update it and reboot. Another thing that you can do is to generate a log file then send it to support for investigation.

So....once again, I've uninstalled Bitdefender using Revo this time, getting rid of (I hope!) all the orphan files etc. Now I've reinstalled Total Security 2015 again and will keep it up and running. We'll see if I continue to get crashes or not. I'll post here the outcome in a day or two.

Please update your Bitdefender product to correct this issue. A Windows restart is necessary. The current build number is 18.19.0.1345.
You can check it by right clicking on the Bitdefender icon from system tray, near Windows clock. In the menu choose About. Look at the number under Product Information to see the current iteration.
