Trojan.downloader.vbs.bl

For several days I'v been getting notifications for this virus by bitdefender: Trojan.Downloader.VBS.BL. I know what it is vaguely by Googling it, and I've been trying to remove it. All Bitdefender says is "disinfect files" which isn't much help to me. I run the scan and it doesn't find anything. The pop-ups are driving me nuts. Bitdefender says it's being blocked and hasn't infected my files.

What should I do?

The file that the virus alert gives is this, if it's any help (I couldn't find it on my machine, though): c:\docume~1\locals~1\temp

tmp319.tmp=>(unicode)

    Hi,

    Well what i would suggest would be to disable BitDefender Shield and try to delete the temp directory contents.After that re-enable the shield and wait to see if the warning comes back.

    Waiting for news on how it went.

    Regards

  • I'm still getting the Bitdefender warnings, but the actual pop-ups from the virus have lessoned. So it's still there I guess. What else should I try?

    Use ATF Cleaner and clean all the temps !

  • Did that, but bitdefender still says there are problems. But that did clear up a lot of space, so that's good! :)

    Pack the files into an archive with the password infected and attach them here or upload them on a server an leave the link here ( http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=84 )

    After this, reboot in safe mode an delete the files manually ;)
