Bitdefender Total Security 2015 Repair Errors

I had Bitdefender Total Security 2015 installed on my Pc, and recently I could not enable realtime protection. So I tried to repair it, but the installation hanged for about an hour on 25%, so I decided to restart my Pc. When I tried again after the restart it stopped on 50% and gave me this error:

I tried restarting and everything I can think of, but got no results. If anyone knows what I can do please help me ASAP.

Run the uninstall tool in case something has become corrupted then download and install your BD version again

Hi Rohugh,

Both links are to the same thread but no worries I found the uninstall tool. Attempting to remove and re-install. Will post here with results.

Welcome to the Bitdefender forums.

The error code 0xc0000417 means that an invalid parameter was passed to a C runtime function.

You should be able to fix that by using System File Checker for corrupt Windows files:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

If the error persists afterwards reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 Service Pack 1 for 32 & 64 bit applications.

Now, please try again to install Bitdefender 2015, let us know if it works.
