Why Not Fix Existing Before Beta Testing New?

Hi all,

This question is for BD developers as well as other forum members. I use BDIS 2008 and find it adequate for my needs but lacking in comman sense features and plagued by the already discussed virtual memory drain. I note that the basic executables have not been updated in some time, I have ver. 11.0.16. Why not work out the memory issue among others brought up in this forum and release fixes for users rather than throw out a new version beta introducing a new basket of problems?

Maybe I am lacking in software design and marketing expertise but this approach does not seem logical and is not consumer friendly.

I agree with many forum posters that the interface has lots of room for improvement and the user options are not adequate, and these may be addressed in a new version. But why not fix widespread bugs as they show up, unless the program is so inherently flawed that a complete program overhall is necessary?

Will the same approach be used after the official release of BD 2009? Start working on BD 2010 while letting users try to deal with existing problems through a forum?
