I have run a scan and Bitdefender has identified a virus in my temporary files. However, it says the disinfection has failed. I am not to sure how to go about getting rid of this virus. I realize trying to delete it from my temp files will just activate it and cause my internet to run extremely slow.

    Hello Michelle,

Please post the exact location of the infections. (a scan log would be perfect)

Disable the virus shield & empty the IE cache. It's just an adware-related JS.

 I know less than nothing about computer virus' or running in safe mode or any of the millions of ways to find out what is wrong. So assume me ignorant and anyone is invited to walk me through step by step on how to get this thing off my computer. I have run a scan just like Michelle, and as soon as I was done and it moved the 10 items it found of this virus to quarantine, the very next time I logged on it comes back again from somewhere else or maybe the same thing is still lurking somewhere else on my harddrive and was never really moved. Also, I have my program set to update automatically and my antispyware is on so why didn't BD stop it from getting on the computer in the first place? Is this a brand new virus that BD hasn't figured out how to stop yet? ANY, really ANY help is appreciated!

    Thanks!
