Bitdefender Is Causing Issues On My Comp!
I have an IBM T40 that has a brand new hard drive and runs quick. I installed BitDefender so as to protect my grat running machine and it caused issues. I installed it and ran the QUICK SACN and no problems were detected. I was asked to reboot and did so. When the computer came back it ran very slow. I entered IE and it came back non-responsice. I tried to END PROG. and mulitple files popped up. I restarted the computer by manually turning the computer off and the issue happened again. I tried to uninstall through ADD/REM programs and the computer froze. The whole machine has become unresponsive. I did find the UNINSTALLER on my other computer, I saved it to my flash, ran the program and now BitDefender has been removed. Surprise my laptop is running much better. But there is no anti-virus, which is my worry. What are suggestions as to what went wrong??

Open Windows Task Manager when the computer is running slow at Processes tab and post here a screenshot with all the processes !

What was your previous antivirus? There could still be remaints that are conflicting with BitDefender. Please check this topic.Does that behaviour also occurs on other user accounts?
