On Demand Scan Very Slow?

I just installed Bitdefender Antivirus Free and scheduled an On Demand Scan of my flash drive, which only has 7 files on it. It took more than 7 minutes to scan the flash drive. My previous antivirus completed the scan in a few seconds. Is this normal? :wacko:

I just tried it on my thumbdrive with 7 files on it. The scan took 1 second.
