Firewall Error Message And Slow Loading Of Some Pages

Options

I have been looking at some of the setting in my Bitdefender Internet security 2015 settings as I'm not sure if it;s working correctly.

First problems. - I'm running Windows 7 64bit with Google Chrome and finding Internet pages are starting to slow down in terms of their loading speeds.

Second problem - When I check the Bitdefender firewall settings and try to change anything I get the following error message

Firewall Error - "Bitdefender Firewall Error: Failed to communicate with the Bitdefender Security Service!".

Is it possible I have some corrupted files relating to my installation of my copy of Bitdefender or is their something else I need to double check

Hello absniper and welcome to the Bitdefender forums!

The issue you report seems to be caused by an outdated driver of your network card.

Please right click on Computer > Properties > Device Manager > here click on the "arrow" next to the Network Card. You will see here the model and type of the Network Card. You can then go to the manufacturer website and download the driver.

After installing the new driver, do a repair of your Bitdefender program as explained here:

Once the process completes restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

Let us know how is everything going.

Nothing wrong with the drivers, I try to keep the motherboard drivers updated on a regular basis. The problem was with Bitdefender and some corrupted installation files, only after removing all trace of the application and re-installing did the problems go away. I'm a little concerned that the application could be corrupted so easily without any warnings - Still all OK and will monitor.
