Problem Of Ids

Hi everyone

I m using BDIS 2015 and i found a strange bahaviour about the IDS , I edited it to agressive mode , but every time i run ma pc or reboot it , it turns itself to Medium mode and I have no idea why this strange behaviour occurs

Ma pc is : Win7 x64 , BDIS is 18.21.0.1497

So I hope to find some answer from you guys , thank you .

  • Hello BDFNDR and welcome to the forums,

I don't have that problem on my Windows 7 desktop, it stays where it is set, even aggressive. First thing to try is to run a repair just in case you have corrupted files. Go to the Control Panel>Programs and Features>Bitdefender 2015 - double click it and choose "Repair". Let it complete and reboot your computer, you can then try setting IDS to aggressive and rebooting.

Let us know how you get on.

and i notes that this during the repairing

    UDBi.png

IT frozen more then 10 min at 25%

also RO I have this black screen for more then 20 sec . a heavy launching takes about 2 min :31 sec . slowin down the browsing a lil bit

and the notifications takes about 3 sec to appear after any action detected

I have friends that runing BDIS on x32 and they find it fast . !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OK.

Contact Bitdefender over this, either by email at bitsy@bitdefender.com, their Facebook customer support app - https://www.facebook.com/bitdefender/app_268724459959771 or from the drop down on the Bitdefender GUI top bar "help and support".

The long boot times are caused by the early boot scan, it can be turned off by opening the Bitdefender GUI (double click the BD system tray icon), then Protection>Antivirus>check the "Custom" box>Miscellaneous tab>uncheck "Early Boot Scan".

I have "Fast Startup" enabled in my Win 8 machines and do not suffer from a long boot - although I had to turn off the early boot scan on my Win 7 computer.

  • Would a removal and reinstall help?

  • I had the same kind of problem... You should try this :) .... I contacted Microsoft ... follow the instructions and Reinstall bitdefender after this... (or don't reinstall maybe it will work it worked for me)

I would suggest you to check if you are able to access Windows Update service and also make sure that the following services are started. If it is not started, follow these steps:

    a. Click on Start, type “services.msc” without quotes and hit Enter.

    b. Locate “Windows Update”.

    c. Right click on the service and select Properties.

    d. In Start-up type, select Automatic.

    e. Click Start under Service status.

    f. Click OK.

    g. Repeat the steps c to f for the following services also:

    “Background Intelligent Transfer Service”

    “Cryptographic Services”
