Kalmar dropper ?

Hello,

This week I noticed that F-Secure was freaking out on one of my compiled scripts, false detection I thought but to be sure I just started a scan with BitDefender.

Apparantly it's detecting a trojan aswell on the same file although it's called/named totally different than the one in F-S.

It's detected as

Trojan.VBS.Kalmar.Dropper.A

but I can't seem any info about it in the AV Encyclopedia (this part of the site is lacking a simple search features ;) )

Anyone having an idea what this is all about?

  • Compress the files, set the password "infected" and attach the files on this forum. One of the Virus Researcher will download them and take a look.

  • Apparently it's a wrong detection by the heuristic scan on the PE stuff used by EXEScript,

the people from that software company will contact you (BitDefender) and the others about this

as it happened before with their stuff according to someone who's working there.

  • hello,

please update your virus signatures and rescan the file.
