Configuring Firewall

Is there anyway to configure the firewall how you want it?

For example, if I set a rule for, say, qBittorrent to only allow traffic on a certain network interface (public), it should stick. However, open qB and it instates a new rule, which overrides the rule I set (treated as a duplicate).

Is there anyway to fix this? And also, is there a way to just bind all traffic to a certain network interface (public), so I can route everything through a VPN. Say, public interface and nothing goes through the home interface?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

    Hello,

Typically, VPN networks are detected by Bitdefender which automatically sets the adapter profile to Trusted.

In such case the custom firewall rules you create no longer apply, especially if the computer connects to the internet via VPN remote gateway. If you want the Bitdefender firewall rules to apply when you are connected to a VPN, you must manually set the Bitdefender trust level to Home / Office or even Public, depending on what you want to block. But keep in mind that afterwards the VPN may no longer work properly.
