If you're using Security Suite, then try to disable firewall module. If that does not work then try to disable antispyware module, identity control module. Step-by-step so we can narrow what module might cause your problem.

    Hello Kenny,

When does startup hangs ? After the vista or windows xp splash screen? At the desktop?

Try this press the windows button together with r now type msconfig press enter. Go to the boot.ini tab check /BOOTLOG press on apply and ok. I will see if I can examine what fails to load. And attach ntbootlog or copy the content that will be created after you have rebooted your pc. You will find it at the systemroot of your hard disk. Just press the windows button together with r now type %systemroot% press enter.

Try afterwards to boot in selective mode. You have to do this also in msconfig. Go to the startup tab uncheck every except IEshow and bdagent. Now reboot your pc see if startup now succeed. Now check more and more items. But write down if you have startup problems withat that particular startup item. So it's possible to find the culprit.

Did you already tried to reset the firewall? To do that go to the firewall section more specificly to the traffic section press on reset profile.

    Best regards

    Niels
