Right-click Scan Has Mind Of It's Own! Right Click !

Hi - Apologies if this has been discussed but I couldn't find it.

(Using BD Internet Security 2008 - Vista x64)

I am having a problem using the right-click option to manually scan ad-hoc and individual items that I chose.

Sometimes it is there other times it is not. This is true whatever the foler type or item is. Usually I can right-click on an item on the desktop and it will give me the option to scan with BD. But when I'm in a folder or folder tree within windows explorer it does not.

Can anyone shed any light on this? (I'm sure it has not always been like this - I recall it working fine across all folders before)

I will post screenshots if that helps - let me know.

Cheers!

  • Hello smithee,

Can you please try this press the windows button together with r now type this

regsvr 32 "C:\Program Files\BitDefender 2008\bdshelxt.dll" press enter. You need to do this on an administrator account. You need to change C: by the drive letter of your hard disk.

There must be some problem in the registry which cause that you don't see it. It's normal that you will not see it on shortcuts.

    Best regards,
