Transferring Bitdefender Registration Key To New Os

I recently wiped my ssd and reinstalled windows 8.1. Because my ssd was wiped, I also lost the Bitdefender program. I am now trying to install Bitdefender (on the same pc, just a new os), but I've ran into some problems. I've got a Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 Computer Lifetime Protection key (lost key), it is connected to my bitdefender account, but I am not sure how to transfer it to the new os.

Can I just delete the old device in my Bitdefender and add a new one, using the same key?

The Bitdefender servers detect the active devices you have, as you have already deleted one you can just download, reinstall and activate BD with the same key.
