I hope BD total 2016 wont slow down my boot time and overall system performance ,heating issues like earlier version did

2016 has very little impact on either start time or browsing. It depends which OS you are using, I found with windows 7 it was necessary to disable the early boot scan by going to BD GUI>Antivirus>check the "Custom" box>Miscellaneous tab and un-checking the "Early boot scan". With Windows 8.1 and 10 I don't find boot time a problem but I do have the Fast Startup enabled in Windows - if you need to you can always disable the Early Boot Scan the same way.

You may wanna make sure that the Firewall settings are correct, in order to enjoy the browsing experience:
Bitdefender> Protection> Firewall> Adapters> Network Type: Home/Office; Stealth Mode: Off; Generic: On.
