Bitfender Not Scanning

Ok, my bitdefender hasn't updated for 2 days, all it says is, Nothing scanned yet, and at the bottom it says, Trying to log on. What's happening now ? I've been using my computer for 2 days and didn't realize until now that I'm not being protected. Can anyone tell me what's the problem this time ?

Probably Windows 10? Because on Windows 7 BDF works as expected.

2 different ones. My wife has Win 7 and hers did it about a week ago, and then one day it was working. The computer I'm on is Win XP that hardly ever gets used unless she has hers at work. I run it when I need to and BDF always updates and scans but this is the second day nothing is happening. And I don't need a telepath, sometimes it seems like I married one.
