attachment problems w/ Thunderbird

I am new to BD (V10) and I am having some troubles with Mozilla Thunderbird.

1. When sending an email with attachment (ie small file 100-150kb) I get an SMTP error message. However most often the email seems to be delivered.

2. BD seems to filter out some email attachments (ie .zip or .doc). Where can I control this filter? Plus is there an option for BD to warn me when an attachment was removed from an email?

Thanks!

  • Hi dacct

What version of BitDefender are you using? BitDefender Antivirus Plus,BitDefender Antivirus or BitDefender Internet Security.

For your first issue take a look here : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Connection_errors_-_SMTP

    2) Normally a popup will appear when an infected attachment is found. You can take also a look in the events. Open BD go to general, events. Normally BD scans zip and doc files. I once received and infected zip file and BD reacted.
