Bitdefender Antivirus 2008 Problem
On my T61 Lenovo laptop I did a system restore tonight because I had a problem with Vista. I'm running Vista Business 32. After the restore when I click on the BitDefender icon, it tells me under Antivirus, "Critical Warning, Real Time Protection (P2P and file access), Current Status: Disabled." When I click on "Fix", nothing happens. It does not fix the issue. Also, under Identity Control it says Status: Disabled. And clicking "Fix" on that, nothing happens. It does not fix the issue. When I put my cursor down over the BitDefender icon it says, "BitDefender Services are not responding. If the problem persists, please contact BitDefender support. Can anyone help me? ggginbd

Hello,
If the fix button doesn't help, you can always try to enable the shield from advanced settings by clicking on the lower right "Settings" link.
You can see from the screenshot that the shield is disabled and the alert active.
Regarding the privacy module you can try the same thing and enable it from advanced settings. If this doesn't work you should try a reboot, because maybe the product was updated and the computer wasn't restarted since then.0 -

I am having the same problem that happened today after the latest update.I used the repair function and had it running again but as soon as i updated again the same thing.I can not even turn them on manually in the settings as it does not allow me to do so.I have since made it prompt me before updating so i know what it is updating beforehand. I am using xp media centre edition with sp3. my current virus sig is 1319460 and engine is 7.19821.0
