Rescue Cd Is......

SO, let me get this straight!! MY Retail version of BitDefender Total Security 2008 installation disc IS ALSO my rescue CD?? Because I only got one disc in the box and for the life of me I can't find nothing about creating one OR How to boot with ???? in the instructions.If there is its not detailed enough for me to find. I backed up my pc With BD but no info on how to retreive it outside of a non bootable windows just info on recovering files within the OS. ANY Help?

Hello bit75,

Just plug-in the disc and reboot your computer to boot from BitDefender Rescue CD.

But you must be sure that your computer is set to boot from optical devices (check your motherboard manual for BIOS settings about this).

About the backup... there's no way to restore the backed-up data unless you run BitDefender from Windows. BitDefender Backup is not intended for a system backup, but for data backup, which means you can make copies of your files, but you can restore them only by using an installed BitDefender (within Windows).
