Unscanned Password Protected Files
My most recent scan reported
"20 items could not be scanned due to password protection. Please press "show log" button for details. To scan the files separately please extract them and select them as target in the scanning options. To ignore these files in the next scans, please add them as exceptions in Settings > Antivirus > Exceptions."
Objects that were not scanned:
Object Name Reason Final Status
C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2855867039-950694117-3271775899-1008\Dc235.zip=]sbRecovery.reg Password-Protected No action was possible
C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2855867039-950694117-3271775899-1008\Dc235.zip=]sbRecovery.ini Password-Protected No action was possible
Followed by 18 more similar files -- all in this same Recycler directory
When I look in \Recycler\S-2-5-21-..... I found a couple *.reg, and *.ini files in that directory, but none matching any of the names in the log. I also find some zip files, but again, none with same names.
I only found one other directory -- Dc246.zip -- but none of the 8 or 9 directories listed in the log, all beginning with Dc23.. or Dc24..
How does one scan -- or exclude these files from scanning if they aren't there?
(Yes I went to Windows explorer | TOOLS | VIEW and changed the settings to make it possible to view these files. I also verified it by using DIRectory and ATTRIBute commands in the DOS command window.

Hello harms01ns,
To be able to see C:\RECYCLER\ You need also to uncheck hide operating system files and select show hidden files and folders. Now you will be able to exclude the recycler folder. The files BitDefender is pointing at are .ini and .reg files. It will be enough to exclude the recycler folder. In this case it is related to Spybot Search and Destroy back-up's. You need to remove the back-up's in spybot search & destroy that will be enough.
Kind regards,
