Bd Internet Security 2008 And Photo Editng Programs

Hello all, I just installed BD Internet Security 2008 on three different computers, one running XP sp2, the other two, Win2K sp4.

Install actually went pretty painless for all three.

Something I found interesting though was upon initial install, BD told me there was a newer version (?) and asked if I wanted to download it, I did and it seemed to download the full program, and since there seemed to be no futher activity from my CD-ROM during install, the CD is basically useless?

Anyway, BD seemed to work as it should so I did full scans for all three, scan found two uninstallers that also gave me false positive with Norton. No problem there, I ignored them.

My problem started when I tried to open two different photo editing programs, Paint Shop Pro7, Adobe Photoshop Elements.

With PSP7, a pop-up said "You don't have permission to write to C:\Docu~\Admin~\Local~\Temp".

With Photoshop, a pop-up said that "Photoshop could not initialize because either the program was left open or another application was still accessing it."

Upon uninstalling from one Win2K computer, all is back to normal, the other still has the above problems, plus the user accounts were changed to administator, meaning different log on to get to windows. Haven't noticed any problems with the XP computer.

Question is, since BD seems to be doing what it was designed to do, (maybe a little too good?) how do I give permission to access programs already installed? I know they work as everything was OK before BD, and after uninstall, everything is back to normal.

Any suggestions to where I went wrong on install or what I didn't do? Should I have not downloaded the newer version?

Thanks,
