Ransomware Protection On Boot

Using BD IS 2016 on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I have recently upgraded from BD IS 2015. Currently I have the ransomware protection module turned on but have not turned on the Protection on boot option.

Has anyone experienced any issues with system boot when having this option on? Any significant slowdown of boot times with option on?

When turning the Ransomware option on I had a couple of issues with it reporting a couple of known safe applications as potential ransomware threats. These were applications that I've been using for several years with no issues so I assumed they were false positives. I submitted the applications to several online virus check programs with no negative results so I have made Allow exceptions for them.

Appreciate any replies regarding the Protection on boot option.
