Firewall Is Blocking My Scanner

I just upgraded to Bitdefender Total Security 2016, and now I cannot connect to my HP Deskjet 2520 scanner. Printing functions work ok, just cannot scan. If I turn off the firewall, it works. How can I get this working without having to turn off the firewall?

enable home/office mode, switch generic mode active and disable stealth mode from BD firewall. From windows connection and sharing center switch to home/office for that connection only
