Search Advisor In Chrome Vs. Trafficlight

Two questions:

Pardon my ignorance (and my memory)...

I am not very familiar with Chrome. I installed Bitdefender AV Plus 2016 a month or so ago, and I think I removed the Search Advisor from Chrome by hand (or disabled it or something). Now I don't know how to get it back. I have Search Advisor turned on in the Bitdefender settings. It is working in FF and IE but not in Chrome.

In researching this online, I ran into a lot of references to Trafficlight. Is that an older feature like Search Advisor, or what is it? I don't see it in my Bitdefender settings.

Running on a Win8.1 64 bit system with Chrome up to date (50.0.2661.102 m).

Thanks!

  • Hello Vknowles,

You can run a repair to get the add-on reattached to your browser, that would be the fastest method.

Also please make sure your Chrome has QUIC disabled as it can sometimes interfere with the Search Advisor's functionality.

    - open Chrome
    - type in the address : chrome://flags and press Enter
    - go to : Experimental QUIC protocol and disable it (you can use CTRL + F to search for it)
    - close Chrome and open it back again for the changes to take effect.
