My.bitdefender.com Banned My Ip Address?

I decided to try out BD Free and see how effective it was.

After installing it asked me to create an account and log in. I did, and now I can't access it.

"The owner of this website (my.bitdefender.com) has banned your IP address (x.x.x.x)"

I could access the site until moments after I confirmed my account via the email. This seems unusual.

Is your service provider offering dynamic ips ? Are you using a VPN or Proxy ?

No to both, but the site now resolves correctly the day after removing the software. I had to manually scrub away BitDefender because the uninstaller wouldn't even run without accessing the banned site.

The ban should not take more than 30 minutes so you should be able to access the website now. If you are still encountering the same issue, please send us a screenshot of the pop-up you receive.
