Full System Scan - Which Dirs Are Actually Selected And Scanned ?

Hi there.

I've been using Bitdefender Antivirus Scanner for Unices
on my Linux box for the last few years. I am more than happy with the product
it really is very good !

I was wondering if you could answer a question for me please.

Essentially I have 2 x HDDs in my PC, and about 7 individual partitions spread across
both of these drives. Things like a separate partition for my music, and another one for
photos, etc, etc.

I like to, regularly run a scan of my entire system (including all of my HDDs and their
separate partitions). These partitions are auto mounted in the FSTAB when my PC loads.

When I set up a scan (using the GUI) I usually select the "File System" directory on
the file scanner selector.

So my question is this =
If I select the "File system" dir, does Bit defender scan "all" of the dirs and

(more importantly) the separate partitions contained on my system ?
Or just the main Linux OS system, and my home folders files ?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA.

Details =
Bit defender version = 7.7-1
OS = Linux/Ubuntu 12.04
Kernel =3.2.0-104-generic-pae-(i686)
DE = KDE version = 4.8.5

  • Hello,

    The product will scan all dirs, since you mentioned the drives are being mounted automatically that means they are getting scanned as well.
