Not Allowed To Upgrade From Total Security 2015 To 2016

Hello,


I recently purchased total security 2015.


I read an article that all valid product key holders can upgrade to 2016 version for free. (http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-upgrade-for-free-from-an-older-version-to-bitdefender-2016-1479.html)


But i get the below error message on inputting my activation key


"We weren't able to migrate your key. Please contact support"


I contacted the support, and they are saying that since the purchase was made from our Partner in India, Venktron, i need to contact them directly.


Now venktron is not allowing me to upgrade to 2016.


I am now stuck on 2015


Please help me as to what i can do to upgrade

    Any changes made to partner keys such as Venktron can only be initiated by the partner itself.

    The error you received on the website is a generic error as the key is not eligible to upgrade from our side.
