Objects Not Scanned

Hello there,

A few weeks ago I downloaded the demo of "The Mystery Of The Crystal Portal". I played my allotted hour and uninstalled the program. I do this a lot with no problems, I love casual gaming. For some reason or the other, BitDefender is telling me that it can't scan Crystal Portal's files as they are password protected and lists two pages of files. There are no such files on the machine as far as I can tell. Does anyone know what is happening?

  • Dear Evangelist

I'm not sure as a moderator if you are employed by BitDefender or a volunteer who has the time to administer this site. Either way your response to my post was neither helpful or polite.

I don't shout or normally even complain. You just referred me to a post that was 50 yes FIFTY incomprehensible pages long. Having struggled through reams of file addresses and a public squabble I was left none the wiser. I returned to my post to ask you more questions only to discover you had locked it. Is this the policy of BitDefender or the Forum to arbitrarily slam the door on people?

As a pensioner who had trouble mastering the vagaries of Norton I changed in order to make life simpler not more confusing.

Before I'm locked out of my second post, is there anyone out there who can tell me how to dispose of my problems?

  • The link I directed you to is a link with 2 pages (I have no idea how you manage to count 50 of them), and explains very well the situation of password-protected items.

Those pages of posts were made on this subject by users who asked the same question as you: "What is with these password-protected alerts?"

And forgive me for saying this: but the answer to this question has been given multiple times in that topic. The least you could do is read it carefully and, if you don't understand something, or if you have other questions besides the ones already asked there, please post in that topic (so other future users who come and ask the same question can find all answers in one place).

Both your topics have been merged. Also, this topic remains locked. Please don't start a new topic, because I really don't have time to answer the same question over and over again.

P.S.: The policy is to keep the forum organized. If redirecting users to topics that already answer their question is something you don't like... then by my guest and suggest a better way of handling this issue. We are open to suggestions from anyone to make this forum as friendly as possible.
