Which Executable Do I Select?

Just finished (a few days ago now) reinstalling my windows. Today's installation: Windows Live Messenger.
Show hidden files. Check. Show extensions. Check. Now to have a quick look in Programs > BitDefender so I can know which of those 'many' round red balls I'm supposed to select for my newly installed Windows Live Messenger. And I haven't a clue. I tried just clicking on them, but the agent icon doesn't respond. The security center icon loads okay. Could someone please help me with this?
