Purchase Site Not Secure?
Suggested BD to a friend yesterday and he refused to buy from the site since there was no gold lock displayed in his browser window (IE7) in the storefront window where it asks for his payment information. I also checked today and found the same thing. Even though there are several icons like "Verisign" in the browser window, I usually never buy myself without the "https://..." in the address bar and if the site doesn't have the gold lock outside the browser window in the toolbar area.
Anyone from BitDefender care to explain this? You would think that something as secure as BD would insure a safe checkout.
Thanks.

Their e-shop is handled by element5, Digital River subsidiary. I see no problem with SSL there, "gold lock" icon is there all the time throughout the process. Anyway, if you see issues with secure connections at e-shop, they usually provide contact information right there on their checkout pages and you should address your concerns there.
