Unblocking Blocked Ports
I have Bitdefender Internet Security 2008. In advanced settings I blocked some ports. How do I unblock them? The only options I see are to either "kill" or "block" a port. I can't access the Internet now, because I can't seem to find the way to unblock them!
Your advice will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello Alekseevs,
Please do this right click on the red BitDefender icon near the system tray press on open advanced settings. After that go to the firewall section. High light the traffic tab and look for an entry that is currently blocked for example: iexplore.exe,explorer.exe,firefox.exe,opera.exe double click on it press on advance now change the ports. If you can't see it there you need to press on edit profile. Look for any blocked entries double click on it to change it.
Kind regards,

Hello Niels,
If I want to allow a programme I used to be able to allow it for 1 time or have the option remember this rule ,that was a plus point of Bitdefender now when I allow it must I delete the allowance everytime ?
Do I do something wrong ?0 -

Tried it, but it did not work. When I went to "advance" in the firewall section (I use Opera), it just gave me options in terms of types of ports SSD, BBD (or some other mumbo jumbo). Still blocked.
The problem is - the firewall says "allow", but the ports are blocked. Is there still a way to unblock them?
Would appreciate your help!0 -
Hello Alekseevs,
If you made rules for all applications to block certain ports please do this:
You need to go again to the traffic tab and press on edit profile.
Now take a look at both the outbound and inbound section. And search for entries that have any as name when you look into the application colomn.
Kind regards,

Hey I have a question on the blocking issue,
If I want to block a certain port under the activity tab, lets say a Port under svchost, how do i do that?
in Total Antivirus 2008 all you had to do was right click the port and block from there, not so in 20090
