wmiprvse.exe attemting to access infected resouces

Hi,

I recently got this event message.

The application wmiprvse.exe accesses a web resouce http://sv.symcd.com/MFEwTzBNMEswSTAJBgUrDgMCGgUABBQe6LNDJdqx%2BJOp7hVgTeaGFJ%2FCQgQUIjtT8HkzI699g%2B8uk8zKt4YecmYCEBLwJ34PIzs5%2BUGbBujN41I%3D 

that has been detected as infected. The Web resource has been successfully blocked and you PC is now safe

My question is why a windows management instrumentation process be trying to access a potentially infected website, and should I do anything further.

Have you ran a full system scan ? If no, that would be the place to start.
