BitDefender and Ashampoo Uninstaller 2 Platinum 2.6

Since Grisoft f'd me over, I decided to start looking for a new anti-virus/security program. BitDefender Anti-Virus Plus 10 came highly recommended by many trustworthy sites. Overall, I find its absolutely fantastic. However, within 1 hour of installing it, I have come across a major incompatibility with Ashampoo Uninstaller 2 Platinum v2.6.

Before any install or setup program runs Ashampoo Uninstaller 2 Platinum (AU2P) takes a snapshot of the registry and C drive. Whenever BitDefender is running it almost immediately causes a Blue Screen Of Death, noting "BAD_POOL_HEADER". The only way I can run AU2P without BSOD is to completely disable BitDefender and its services.

I never had this problem with AVG Pro Network Edition, but it was only a AV program. Any help would be much appreciated.

PC Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

2GB Dual Channel RAM

250GB HDD

Windows XP Pro SP2 (Fully updated)

Try this : go to start,run,at the run dialog box type services.msc press doubleclick on the indexing service by startuptype choose disabled confirm by pressing on apply and ok.

I have now installed a program and till now I didn't receive the error message. BitDefender was running in the background and the installation monitor of ashampoo uninstaller platinum was active. Try what you find here : http://www.expertsrt.com/articles/coral/du...ore-and-XP.html

I only have a single core cpu.
