My Drives Has Blocked

Hi Friends ,

Please help me.........

I installed bitdefender and then deep scan my computer.It detects 5 trojans and 120 infected files.It deletes all files and trojan.

Then ,when I opened my drives ,it ppop-up a message that Trojan.nem.??? (not remembering the exat name) is found and it is blocked and your computer is protected.Then no folder in any drive is seen.

I search option in bitdefender settings to unblock this Trojan ,but found no option.I also uninstalled the bitdefender, but problem not removed.

Then ,I format the machin, but then after the problem persist.I tired of this problem and I am fearing that my important data is lost.............

Please tell me what should I do to get back my drives and data.My drives properties shows that memory is used (that data is present).

Please Please Help me.

Hope you only deleted the infections not the complete file that were infected otherwise you are screwed .

Cant you do a system recovery and then put a deep scan and select the action BD must take first dienfect and secondly put inQuarantee if that doesnot work second action delete infections ....

You say that you formated the machine, formating most probable only the partition where Windows resides ,the C.

Now there are two posibilities,either you have an autorun virus ,either you have a master boot rootkit.

If you have an autorun virus then you will need to remove the infection manually in safe mode and/or running a scan in safe mode with more tools not only BD for maximum detection and removal.Some suggestions would be Malwarebytes Antimalware,Spybot Search & Distroy,Super Anti Spyware or Cure IT(free scaner from DrWeb).Run these in safe mode including BD,delete the "Recycled" folders and "System Volume Information" folders on all drives(after you unhide from Folder Options /View unticking all the "Hide ..." lines).Search in the root of the partitions for (hidden) files that finish in .inf and delete them manually.At Windows reinstallation disable(google it) Autorun feature to avoid reinfection from sticks or removable media the most probable cause of you problems.

Another way would be to disable BD and save the files you need on discs and then doing a total format distroying all partitions and aditionally going to low level format for removal of any potentialy threat remaining.

For master boot rootkits a simple MBR repair may be enough though.

You can also try to set BD not to block the acces on detection, but to delete those threats directly or to move them in quarantine.Right click on the BD icon from the task bar>> Advanced Settings>>Antivirus>>Real Time Protection customization and where the action to be made is specified choose quarantine instead of block on acces.
