Hi

I am new on this forum and product,so please help me

I am testing BDIS 2009

On the Advanced view mode- antivirus-virus scan, you can see system tasks

Well, it seems once i have started a "deep " or "full " system scan,i am unable to stop the current scan? how to control system tasks?

Thank you

Also ,when you click on "scan now button, you will see a new window which have the option to stop the current scan

But when you close this window and look the "system tasks" window, you will see the scan still running? is this behaviour normal?

How to really stop the scan?

thanks

Anyone Please can help me?

I am Testing BDIS 2009

From the "Antivirus"-"virus scan"window, i can see the system tasks

SO, i start a full or deep scan.

Cliking on a scan (with the task running) I can see a new window with detailed info about the scan and also a "stop"button(suposed to abort the scan)

So, the scan are aborted and this window closes

But so, i look on the system tasks window again and it shows the task as still "running"

This happens only with the full and deep scan..

The other scans stops when yiu click stop button in the detailed task window wich opens when you click on the current task

Could someone please tell me if this is a normal behaviour and why this happens?

thanks

I was having a similar problem like yours with BD 10 while tweaking my RAM to much.I think you should reinstall BD.Use the BD uninstall tool for deleting any trace remaining after the add/remove uninstalll.

Also if you tweaked your RAM timings try to increase a litle the latencies,it may be the cause.Use memtest to see if you got any RAM

    errors.

Also do some harddrive error checking and defragmentation.

    Good luck!

  • This is not a normal behaviour.

You can try to click on CANCEL instead of clicking on STOP and see if the scan stops after a few seconds.

  • After so many problems with bdis 2009 i am now trying a diferent product

    Thanks
