Does Bitdefender Work With Google Chrome?

I am curious if BitDefender 2009 will be compatible with Google Chrome as it was released recently? If someone could let me know that would be great.

The reason why I am asking is because the functionality of the Google Chrome internet browser easily outstrips IE 7. I want to be certain that my computer is safe using this new browser.
