BitDefender Free 2016 will not install

People,

System is win10 with all the updates. Had BD free 2015 installed and running - no issues. Wanted to update to latest version. BD will complete scan and 97% of install - then appears to time out and roll back.

Any suggestions where to look. Have run the 2016 de-installer but the problem repeats.

Are you talking about the bitdefender free edition for 2016 ? Can you please try to download this one and update it https://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/free.html, I think this is the 2017 version of bitdefender free edition.

Much better also if you fully remove the bitdefender 2015 and then try to install the bitdefender 2016

Nth time luckey. Shut down all running apps and it installed. No idea where / what was the conflict.
