Okay, first off some gripes. I had AVG and BD 9 malware running together and that worked very well. The license came up on BD 9 and I opted to renew, only I got shoved into the "total" package. I had to blow away AVG to install it, and while AVG wasn't the greatest on earth, I never had any problems with it, I did not want to replace the anti-virus with this. But against my better judgement I decided to try it out.
There were problems right from the start, beginning with three possible downloads and no instructions anywhere as to which one to take. I chose the "32" one, which seems to be working, but why wasn't that clear? So I install the bugger and all of a sudden a bunch of crap starts appearing on my screen, warnings about this and that, it prevented a Msoft update, it added a completely unwanted bar to Firefox, all this junk I had to disable, including the firewall so Msoft update would function. It says you should disable the Msoft firewall, but that's retarded, what if BD isn't working, like it totally isn't at the moment. Go out on the net bareback? Are you insane?
Anyway . . . the problem is the icon went black and when you start the program it says "Bitdefender services have been switched off temporarily for an update", and it adds "please wait a moment". First off, the protection should NEVER switch off for updates, and that was like a half hour ago. It's still black. WTF?
